Cail\u00e0 y Par\u00e9s, S.A was established in 1932, and its main line of business was the marketing, representation and distribution of grains and similar products.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Today, after completing the construction of its latest investment -a splitting plant- Cail\u00e0 y Par\u00e9s, S.A. boasts a production capacity of approximately 110,000 t by distillation, 110,000 t by hydrolysis and 80,000 t by hydrogenation, making it the leading oleochemical firm on the Spanish market.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

  • 1932<\/strong> Incorporation and start of business.<\/li>\n
  • 1947 <\/strong>The company begins its seed crushing operations and starts selling oils in the Poble Nou district of Barcelona.<\/li>\n
  • 1970 <\/strong>The firm relocates to the Barcelona Free Zone. It maintains the crushing mill operation and branches out into other business activities: vegetable oil batch refining and fatty acid splitting and distillation (1,500 t\/year)..<\/li>\n
  • 1977 <\/strong>The crushing mill closes and the plant for the fractional distillationof fatty acids is built (8,000 t\/year).<\/li>\n
  • 1982<\/strong> The company begins its hydrogenation operations.<\/li>\n
  • 1988 <\/strong>Cail\u00e0 y Par\u00e9s embarks on a period of exponential growth,opening a new fatty acid distillation and hydrolysis plant.<\/li>\n
  • 1994<\/strong> New expansion of the hydrogenation plant.<\/li>\n
  • 1997 <\/strong>The glycerin plants and another fatty acid distillation plant are built..<\/li>\n
  • 1998<\/strong> The 4.8 Mw cogeneration plant is inaugurated.<\/li>\n
  • 2000<\/strong> New expansion of the hydrogenation plant.<\/li>\n
  • 2002<\/strong> Enlargement of the hydrolysis plant.<\/li>\n
  • 2005<\/strong> Setting up of a high-pressure splitting tower.<\/li>\n
  • 2010<\/strong> Construction of a splitting plant.<\/li>\n
  • 2011<\/strong> Expansion of the cogeneration plant.<\/li>\n
